βThe commission and task given by Jesus in Matthew 28.19 have never been this real, to go out and reach to the lost, to have a relationship with Jesus using the Audio Bible. We decided to form prayer partners to strengthen and uplift each other for the task ahead,β said Jackline. This happened during the Bible Listening Group Training in Kajiado County, after the breakout session. She went ahead to encourage others to continue praying for the ministry.
The mission to Kajiado County, where the Maasai people reside was unique. Stepping into a world where the bond between the Maasais and their cattle runs deep. The Maasai community’s love and significance for cattle is ingrained in their culture and way of life. Cattle symbolize wealth, status, and sustenance for the Maasai people. They are not just livestock but cherished companions in their lifestyle.
Our host, Pst. Josiah shared a captivating story that epitomizes the Maasai spirit. Not long ago, at night, a cheetah ventured near their home, eyeing a lamb for its prey. In a moment of bravery and instinct, the youngest daughter of the family fearlessly rescued the lamb and bravely chased the leopard away, all without causing any alarm. This tale not only showcases the Maasais’ courage and deep care for their animals but also highlights the harmony between nature and humanity in their daily lives.
Josephine Loisa, a talented lady skilled in beadwork, shared with us the profound impact of the audio Bible training on her life. “Now I know how to use the Audio Bible to reach out to as many women in my villageβ, she said. She went ahead to urge us that we should have even stayed longer. Through this training, she has not only grown in her faith but also developed the ability to lead and support other women in her Bible Listening Group.
