On the night of 23rd June 2024, we were awakened by distress calls from our caretaker about the fire breakout on our premises. By the time help came, the fire had spread so fast fueled by the foam and cotton material used for sound-proofing the studios.
The fire was caused by an electric fault. The transformer (a step-down power voltage unit) blew causing power outage in the area, immediately, fire was spotted on the corner roof of the studio building. The City County fire brigade managed to control the blaze after 6 hours, preventing the fire from to nearby buildings and vehicles.
After the fire was contained, 90% of the roof was destroyed. The walls developed cracks and weakened by the intense heat. All the audio recording equipment that was in the studio was lost.
