At the end of every recording, the community always asks, “When are we getting the Audio Bible since we have finished recording?” The community’s expectation is, that immediately after the recording they will remain with copies of the Audio Bible.
For us, finishing any recording of the Bible comes with satisfaction and fulfillment, knowing that we are edging closer to availing the Word of God in audio to as many as possible. We thank God for the successful recording of the Kambaata language New Testament that took place in Hosaina town, southwest of Addis Ababa, southern Ethiopia. It is a Cushitic language closely related to Sidamo and Hadiyya.
In addition, the team stretched further to accommodate the recording of the book of Psalms in Gees and Amharic languages. This was done in Addis Ababa. “It is an honour and privilege to be involved once again, and my voice be used in the Old Testament Gees and Amharic Bible”, said Abba Gedion Berhane – he was read the role of Jesus in the New Testament audio. The other two prooflisteners included Memhir Zemichael Gebre Eyesus and Leke Meameran Birhane Meskel Atena.
